DTD during pregnancy?

Just curious: Have any of you ladies discussed the issue of DTD during pregnancy with your SO?

I have brought it up a few times w/ DH and though I've let him know that it's perfectly safe, he says he couldn't think of me sexually once he knows I have a baby inside. :( I would never pressure him into something he doesn't want to do but I'm just thinking... that's going to be a LOOOONG 9 months for the both of us....not to mention there won't be much time afterward.

So have any of you had this discussion yet? And if you've already BTDT, what was it like for you & DH/SO?

We've talked about it and don't see any issues with it.

Hopefully once it's less of an unknown to him he changes his mind (make sure he goes w/ you to early DR visits so you can discuss this with your OBGYN).

I think we will both be fine with it, and I hope that my sex drive increases and not decreases as I have heard that both can happen. Either way I think it is important for a relationship that it happens on a regular basis that keeps both people happy so that will be our goal:)

I could be wrong, but I suspect that when the time comes, he'll quickly realize that 9 months is a long time, and if you have a healthy pregnancy, there's no reason to abstain.

WEll, DF' worries were about doing some harm to the baby. Once I explained to him that it was perfectly safe, he was on board, and sometimes he says something like "you know, this position would be great once you have a pg-belly" LOL! (sorry for the TMI)
I think you should let things run its course. Because maybe once you are pregnant he feels different. Let him know that you hope you can make love, that you would need that to still feel loved and desired... and let the concept stew in his mind. Hopefully, when the time comes, he'll react different.

I have to say me and Doug were both pretty creeped out by it when I was pregnant it felt like someone else was in the room. Ava started kicking around 17-18 weeks just imagine trying to feel sexy when you can both see/feel someone kicking your tummy LOL it's like "Hey remember me" reminder LOL xxxx

It's only been brought up a couple of times, and I think we both feel weird about it right NOW - but I bet it'll be a different story when the time comes! LOL 9 months is a LLOOONNGG time to go without DTD!

Lol, I'm sure he'll change his mind when faced with a 9 month dry spell! DH didn't seem to have a problem with it. We didn't do it a lot for the first trimester because it hurt but then during the second and third we had no problems. We even did it the night I was induced, haha.


I'm sure he'll come around ;).
