Thanks Sarah! I went to Sydney for a few days with my mom, brother, sister and daughter and we had an awesome time! I just got back last night. We stayed in a 5 star hotel with harbour views, went on a 2 1/2 hour cruise around Sydney harbour, visited the Sydney opera house, walked across the Sydney harbour bridge and back again, went to an Imax theatre, a museum, a tower where we could see the whole city of Sydney, a monorail, and we did heaps of walking and shopping and went to a bunch of fancy restaurants, too! I wish I could do that every year ;)

It's funny, but the someone on another board asked me the same question the other day, and they also had relatives in Queensland! Queensland is a state in the north-east part of Australia, while I live in Melbourne, Victoria, which is in the south east part of Australia. Because Australia is such a large country land-wise, it takes about 2 days to drive from my state to Queensland, so it's pretty far away. I last went to Queensland in '96. Have you ever visited? Queensland is a very popular tourist destination here. It's always got wonderful sunny weather, with a tropical climate in the far north, beautiful beaches, a whole bunch of huge theme parks, and the famous Great Barrier Reef. Come visit! :)

Hi Aisha,

Yes, I have been to Queensland, Sydney and Melbourne!!! I was there in 1987. Quite a while back. I was a teenager then. :)

I have not since gone back. DH really wants to go to Australia. He's never been. I grew up in Singapore, so it was a pretty short hop for me.

My cousins live in Coopers Plain, Brisbane and one of them used to work in Adelaide.

I have never been to Alice Springs or Darwin or Perth. Would love to do that sometime.

I liked Gold Coast and Surfers Paradise... It's neat but I am sure it has a lot of more tourists now... hmmm...

DH and I like to travel a lot...
