Hi Angela!

Congrats on the engagement:) This page tells you all about siggies and how to go about getting them, http://www.ivillage.com/boards/about/0,,c19p9qlx,00.html

I'm also waiting for a year at least. Thomas and I are waiting to get married, until I finish my Bachelors, and for the number one reason- he isn't ready yet. He would like to be at least 30 for baby number one, and so I am hoping we will start TTC on our first wedding anniversary in summer of 2010, but we'll see:)

I'm looking forward to seeing your posts here!

Hi Ashley,

Thanks for the warm welcome! Good luck to you in your studies too! I'm kicking myself for not majoring in Education in the first place but sometimes you have to figure out what you don't want to do before you know what you do want to do, right? ;-)

What grade are you interested in teaching?

I'll be certified to teach K-5 but

I completely understand about wishing I would have majored in Education first. I just really thought I would like being in an office setting, but I can't stand it. Being tied to a desk all day is not something I enjoy and I have always loved working with children.

I am a little nervous about being in school, working pt and having a baby but I really think DH and I can do it. I have a really lax job right now and I think if I am still there and have a baby I could take the baby with me and the school I go to has a daycare too.

I am on my 2nd full cycle off of BCP and I was on it for 9 years also and didn't know what to expect. So far I have been very normal. My cycle is kind of short - 23 days but I am just glad I have been o-ing and AF is still only been about 3 days. I was worried AF was going to get longer and heavier, but not yet. The only really difference I have noticed is I have gained about 5 lbs.

Hi! Welcome to the board.

I'm Ashley 22, and my fiance Thomas 27 and I are waiting until we get married, I finish with school, and he feels ready. The first two are happening summer of 2009 but the last... hmm he has agreed to start trying no matter what when he turns 30 but I am hoping to convince him to start trying around our one year wedding anniversary summer of 2010 so that he is 30 when the baby is born... we'll see ;)

We already own our own flat, he has a good job,etc so it really comes down to him feeling ready to be a father which is sometimes hard to deal with since I can't actively move towards a certain goal in order to speed the process up but thankfully school and the wedding are taking up lots of my time right now!

I'm looking forward to seeing more of your posts:)

Hi Ashley,

Thanks for the welcome and congrats on your upcoming nuptials! From your tickers, it looks like you're going to have more than one wedding, is that correct?

Do you currently live overseas or in the US?

I used to have 30 in mind for the deadline to start a family but on our current timeline, I'll actually be 31 by the time the baby is born, which is still fine by me. My DH is three years older than me and is already making comments that he doesn't want to wait too much longer because he doesn't want to be an old dad. LOL.

The first few years of our courtship, DH wouldn't even hold a baby but then as we were around kids more often, he became much more comfortable. Now he'll walk up to a baby or toddler and just pick them up! Men do come around in their own time I guess. ;-)

I know what you mean about having distractions while waiting for the TTC time to roll around. DH and I are both in grad school and it's pretty much taking up all of our time.
