Cyber Baby Shower

Okay--we have a couple of recent graduates who are now expecting little bundles of joy in January. I thought it would be fun to throw them a cyber baby shower.

List your cyber gift, your cyber dish, and any advice you want to share for the expectant mothers.

My cyber gift will be a baby sling for each expectant mom so that when your baby is born, you can keep them physically close to your heart. My sister had one for each of her kids and they were great because she could do almost anything and still have the baby right there with her, physically touching them.

My cyber dish will be bootie shaped cupcakes with blue and pink icing. (These are really fun to make for those of you looking for something neat to take to a shower.)

My advice--don't worry about being the best mom ever in the whole world--just be the best mother you can be to your child and he/she will think of you as the best mom ever in the whole world. Trust your instincts--you can't learn from a book how to be a great mother. Love the child (as I know you will) with all your heart and never pass up a chance to hug your child.

Good luck ladies!!

Oooo, I hope they're lurking! Let's see...

My cyber gift is a good night's sleep--they're few and far between from the time that test comes back positive!

My cyber dish is tons of fresh fruit with a dip made from cream cheese and marshmallow fluff--fruit a natural cure for craving sweets and the dip is FABULOUS.

My advice is to try to take a moment to appreciate the little person you create right in the middle of a horrible crying fit or when his or her little head starts to turn purple from screaming (LOL). Grab the camera and take a picture. Some of our best pictures are the ones with tiny wrinkled foreheads, giant tears, and an open, wailing, toothless mouth. We have dozens of pictures of grins and other baby moments, but those crying fits are priceless and some of our favorites.

Good luck, ladies!

You guys are too sweet! As if I needed another reason to tear up today. And of course I'm lurking! ;)

You really are the best, ladies. Thank you!

OK, my cyber-gift is a Boppy pillow to help with feedings and to prop up the little one when they are small.

My cyber-dish is a yummy 7-layer dip and chips, I craved Mexican food the entire time I was pregnant with DS, but he didn't appreciate it when I ate that stuff, LOL!

My advice is to try to cherish each and every moment, it goes by incredibly fast.

A fun book to read is "The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy" - check it out.

How fun! My cyber gift is this cute little outfit from "Barefoot Dreams" (the cutest baby stuff ever) and it has a little hat that says, "Hello World."

I'll bring punch. It's a ginger/tea/almond punch and it's delicious!

My advice is to never take for granted the gift you have been given in you child. They are truely a blessing. (sorry for the generic advice!)

Best wishes to the graduates!

Now that I'm feeling up to a baby shower :-D Here are my contributions...

My cyber gift is the new wipe warmer.....looks awesome. You plug it in, put your baby wipes container inside, and it heats the little things up ;-D

My cyber dish is an awesome spinach artichoke dip I make, with veggies and crackers for dipping.

My advice is to ENJOY the pregnancy. Even the morning sickness and the swelling feet. I've never been there, but I hope to enjoy every second of it, and to write down your feelings during your pregnancy.

Congrats guys!
