Do you think Scott Peterson is guilty? Should prosecutors seek the death penalty?

I totally think he is guilty. He's been caught lying this whole time and then he just *happened* to be miles from the Mexico border with 10 grand in his car?? What a creep (and believe me, that's NOT the word I'm actually thinking).

I agree--he's guilty. He's been playing too many games and he seems to have been enjoying the media attention he's been getting.

I rarely pass such quick judgment on stories like this, but this guy just seems too guilty. He should be glad I won't be on his jury.

I think he's guilty and I support the death penalty. What gets me is there are some people out there saying he shouldn't be charged with DOUBLE homicide because the baby wasn't born yet. Give me a break. grrr.

I pray to God that they don't come down to some beaurocratic glitch where they cannot consider the unborn child a life....that'll open up a whole other can of worms! 2 separate bodies were found, therefore 2 murders were technically committed.

What a heartbreaking story. I was convinced that he was, until I heard the "other" side. His parents said that he and Laci took out the life insurance policies over two years ago when they bought their house. That they'd been talking of trading in her car for a while and finally got the deal they wanted. That he's already been to Mexico and back since the investigation and the police knew where he was the whole time. That the police haven't believed him the whole time about him fishing and now suddenly he WAS there b/c they've found the bodies. They also pointed out that he would be stupid to insist the whole time that he was right where they found the bodies (where he dumped them?). Still they insist on this perfectly happy marriage and it takes a real creep to cheat on his pregnant wife, and he did have "new hair" and an awful lot of money. I guess hearing what his parents had to say makes me question what to believe. His parents also said that there are a few missing pregnant women in that area which is littered w/ ex-cons and stuff, so I guess they're implying a serial killer or something. I just really, really don't know!

Things certainly aren't looking good for him, but I don't think just because he cheated on his wife, you can assume he would also murder her. It's one thing to cheat (which I personally think is despicable), but it's a whole different level of monster that would kill his wife and his own child.

I just hope that the truth comes to light, whether he's guilty or not.

Jenny

p.s. I also think they should definitely charge this as a double murder!
