I am trying so hard to focus on the big plans, but in every house I look at, I see that room and see how I can design the nursery.
That's the thing... Just keep focused on the big future plans.

Hello!Just a little background on me. I'm currently 36 years old. I have a 2 year old son, David. My DH and I got married when I was 26 almost 27. I did not get pregnant until we were married almost 7 years. Part of that was financial (and we are still struggling ) and the other was we moved twice and we didnt' want to move with a child. Plus, we both wanted my DH to be at least 30 before we had kids. I see you're quite young. I know it's hard to wait but a few years isn't going to kill you.
My advice to those who are just married and don't have kids yet is enjoy being married. Enjoy doing those things you won't be able to do after you have a child. The days I can go out on my own without having to take my son with me and not worry about him having a meltdown, I really treasure those days. Don't get me wrong, I love my son. But once you become a mom your life totally changes. So, go out with friends, go out to eat, go on vacation. Do all those things that will be hard to do once you have a baby. You can still go out to eat but it's totally different. Right now it's nearly impossible to go out with him to eat as he wants to leave as soon as he's done. When they are small it's a lot easier.
We bought our house when I was 8 months pregnant. I really wish I would have been able to help more. I couldn't move boxes, I couldn't paint the room.
Well we are getting married in October and are going on a cruise afterwards for a week, so obviously I don't wanna have a big belly for that (lol).
do you and SO have anything you want to do together besides buy a house?? Maybe plan a vacation or go on a cruise of some kind?
