I just can't stand these boards. I love you guys, but I just do not have the patience to wait forever for the pages to download, I'm sick of these error messages, and this format is just rediculous. I HATE how you cannot refresh the outline format, I don't like how the hyperlinks of the messages I have already read do not change color, and I don't like how I have to go into someone's message to read their profile. And yesterday my recently posted messages were bold. Today they are not. What is with the inconsistency? Why did iVillage change the format?

I love you guys, but I probably won't be around for a while.

We will miss you!!

But, I totally understand the frustration. I was getting frustrated with it again this morning! Hopefully they'll get some bugs worked out soon, so we can all just get back into the swing of things without these headaches.....! Come back to check on us without giving up for good ;-D

I totally agree with you! I hate this format so much and I just don't have time to deal with it. Some groups are starting new boards on places like Yahoo-Groups. If a lot of us feel this way, we could do the same. ? I got a response from the "customer service" saying that going back to the old way is not an option. Grrr. I'll probably lurk a little now and then, but probably won't do much posting. I'll miss you all though. :(

Sorry to hear that! But I can totally understand your frustration! I'm posting from a T-1 line, so I hadn't realized the new boards were much slower. I guess that makes sense though since they're slower for me than the original.

I was thinking I probably won't go anywhere else when I "graduate." I like it here because I kind of know everyone, but I don't like these new boards enough to take the time to negotiate a new one.

Keep us updated on what's going on if you can!

You will be missed!!!! But I totally understand. I am very frustrated with the boards right now too. I don't have hours to sit and go through a ton of posts and this way you don't have a choice but to do that. I hope that the bugs get worked out soon!!! Don't leave us totally you have to come and post updates of what is going on with you!!!

Amber ~ Not liking this change either!!!!!!

First of all, to refresh the outline view, hit F5. But more importantly, I know how you feel! I used to frequent a few boards and now it's all I can do to keep up with this one, and I'm not doing a great job. I have a lot of trouble figuring out which posts I've read and responded to and which ones I've posted myself and it's very frustrating! I'm afraid we're losing a lot of villagers like this, and I really don't want to see you go! Try the tip about using two windows--I'm doing this now and it's much easier--still not normal, and not particularly fast (darn dialups!) but it might help a bit. If you do leave, please check back in with us from time to time!

I think my most frustrating thing is that the old posts get lost after the most recent posts that have something go into them move to the top.....I feel like I need to constantly look through the old posts to make sure I don't miss something! GRRR.....really hate to see anyone leave though! I'm getting the hang of this today, feeling a little more confident in my navigation, still some frustration though. Hope it gets better!
