Just searching the web and came across this site. Thought I would give it a try.
I was on SHEKNOWS for a few years, and honestly lost interest after my son was about 3.
ANYWAYS,I am fairly familiar with message boards, just trying to find my way around a new one.

My name is Megan. I'm turning 24 in June. I have a son who will be 6 in July. And a wonderful SO who is 25.

We have decided to TTC at the end June. Even though it's only a month from now it's still seems like forever in my eyes. I have major baby fever!! But unfortunately, you have to go with nature and I am ovulating late in the month. =/

Anyways, I wish everyone luck with their FUTURE baby makin' plans!

Hi Megan,

I'm Jen (36) and possibly starting to try in September for #4. I strongly want another boy. I would like my son to have a brother and I have 2 teenage daughters that I love dearly but it is very different raising girls. I'm not sure I could survive another round of a teenage girl 13 years from now.. I'm sort of kidding ;o)

My first DD is and always has been very high energy. She is very athletic and into sports and not very dramatic. My second has been very sensitive and emotional from birth and very much

Your girls are beautiful!

Don't get me wrong, I understand it has alot to do with how parents raise them. I have always been told that kids look for your reaction before they react. And if you freak out every time they take a tumble, chances are they are going to pick up on that and freak out EVERY time as well.

I just always have been more of a sporty girl, all my life and i felt if I personally had a girl, I wouldn't be able to teach her "girlie" behavior. I don't have much my self lol.

I love my wild boy, and I think it would be great to have another boy for him to play rough with and not have to worry about getting dirty and what not.

I have a couple friends who have had 2 girls and then have had a boy and were so used to the girlie-ness of it all they never let the boys play rough or get dirty. It's just a different mind frame.

Ahh, enough of my babbling. It's nice to meet you all, goodluck with TTC!!

Welcome to the board, I also don't have a long wait, but the wait is driving me crazy!! We are going to start TTC in early July. As for the boy/girl thing, I treat my girls exactly like you as far as if they fall down I just tell them shake it off, etc. My younger one hardly ever cries and if she does it's only for a few seconds. I think a lot of the crying all the time/feeling like girls need to be babied more has to do with the parents and how they treat the kids. I don't think there's any reason to treat boys and girls any differently when they are young. :) Good luck, hope to "see" you around here more.

Just adding that I've always known I'd have a girl, it's in me. Can't really explain how or why! I'd love to have a boy too, of course, but I just know I'd be good with a girl.

Four! That's always been my original number (and favorite number :) ), but DH just wants two.

We want four so as long as I eventually get both a boy and a girl I am happy. I think there are a lot of positives for both so I think for baby number one I really won't have any preference.

I definitely eventually want a daughter though just because my bond with my mother is so strong that I can't imagine not being able to experience that with my own eventual daughter.

Hi Ashley! So nice to meet you as well.

I hate waiting on the freakin cycle! I wanted to try for a Valentines baby, but I missed my window of opportunity this month.

I honestly don't know what I want!
I thought I wanted a little girl, but lately I'm not so sure.

I'm so used to my tough little rascal running around. If he falls I tell him to get up and shake it off lol. He rarely cries. Hes a boy! they are just simple. All the little girls my friends have, its like they cry so easily and you almost have to baby them ALL the time. It's swaying my vote seeing all that screaming and stuff they do.
So I'm leaning more towards a little brother for him. Someone he can show the ropes, since there is such an age gap. But honestly, as long as it's healthy and happy I will be just fine! I am just so ready for another one!

What about you?
