Things have been pretty stressful around here lately with some family issues and such, but I wanted to take the time to say "hi" to all my friends here.

Dan and I are still trying to get on our feet. We're both "house dreaming" and thinking about what we want and what kind of things we would like to look at when the time comes. And here I thought I was the only one of us in this marriage dreaming about houses and children...go figure! Dan had a dream just the other night about us living in our own home, nothing too big or fancy, just comfortable with our 2 kids. Yes, that's right! He dreamed that we had a boy and a girl! I was so touched by the fact that he could even describe how they looked.......can you say, "Awww......"

I just know that we're going to get there, to the point where we can get a house and get ready to start our own family. I just have to patient and wise about our finances.

Well, it's getting late here and I need to get some sleep. I hope you all had a nice weekend and I'll poke my head in here again soon.

big hugs,

Ashley

Isn't it fun dreaming about everything you'd like in a house? I'm not sure exactly what your situation is (are you talking moving out or just buying a house?). We both already have our house planned out - of course it'll be custom built ;).

It is so sweet when DH's talk dreamily about future children. I LOVE seeing DH holding babies... That really gets

When I referred to getting our own house, I meant moving out of our apartment into a real house. We've been living here for the past two years and it's a nice place, but it's not a home. You can't paint the walls, put up wallpaper, or even put up the curtains you want because there are rules about what's accepted and what's not.

We do enjoy our "couple" time. We try to schedule weekly dates and right now one of the things we are doing together is reading the Harry Potter books. We've seen all three movies so far, but hadn't read the books, so we decided to do that too. It's tons of fun and a good way to make conversation.

I enjoy spending time dreaming about our future, but am happy in the here and now with my man.

big hugs,

Ashley
