For those of you who have not had Rubella shot, my doctor recommended that I got tested. I had the shot when I was a kid and when the blood test came back, I was rubella immuned and would not have to take the vaccination.
She also encouraged me to see other doctors in the practice during the pregnancy since she may not be on call the day you might deliver. It is good to see the doctors that would be involved in the delivery.
She preferred that all women have a vaginal birth, which is great. These days, doctors just want to "cut you open" and get the baby out fast, so that the hospital bed would be "free" for another pregnant mom. It's sad...but true. And if you had a C-section, they would be able to charge the insurance more money... again, sad...
So, I like the fact that she said that she would prefer a natural birth. She would only do a C-section if the baby was breeched or in danger.
All in all, everything went fine. I didnt have an exam..my annual is not due till October. And with a twinkle in her eye, she said "Well, I hope to see you possibly pregnant in a couple of months!" Doubt it, since I don't plan to TTC till Jan 04/
