Hey Everyone!

I am new here. I have been floating around the boards for a little while and checking out which one best suits me and it is definatley this one!

I have been with my Husband for 6 years, we got married in December 03. We bought our first home over a year ago and we both now have our dream jobs! And now for the good part..... We are waiting to conceive around Christmas this year! I am so excited and aslo so worried about it!! I dont want it to take long, it never has in my family, but you never know. I am so clucky it is beyond beliefe! We are even looking at furniture.

The reason we are waiting is because we work for a company that makes Computer games and when it comes to the end of a game things get a little uncertain there. So our game is finishing around the middle of August and then it is time to see what new projects we are going to do and also ask for our bonuses and Pay raises! :)

So we are finishing up the renovations and waiting for the pay raises.

I feel like I am busting!!! I can not wait, well I can but you know!

So anyway that is the story. Help me ride out the next 5 months!!

Heheh!! Doesnt matter that we are the only two. It will pick up I am sure.

So just 2 lonely Michelle's in here hay! Fun.

I forgot to mention our ages in my first post. I am 23 and my Husband is 27. He just finished Uni (college) last year. We live in Australia so to me it is Winter!

December 05 hay! God, that must seem like ages! I know 5 months seems like ages to me. I am just so excited. I have bought a great Baby book and I am reading up on what is going to happen. I havent had that much experience with babies so I am learning so much. Amazing stuff.

I have applied to be this Topic's CL! Not sure if I will get it because I havent been a member long but I think it needs one if it is going to get some more people here....

Well I am here all the time anyway, my job is all about the Net so expect to be able to chat to me alot!

Nice to meet ya

Add one more to your group.

I am also new here. I am 29 DH is 39. We are waiting to try until October. We have a dive vacation planned in Mid October and I want to be able to dive then.

Anyway, we got married in November 03. We are all set career wise, I am an attorney (starting my own practice) and he is a VP in the automotive industry. We thought it would be a good idea to be married a year to do some traveling and just be us, as a married couple.

Right now I am starting to get myself ready for the big event. Trying to lose about 10 pounds, taking my multi-vitamin daily, eating right, cutting back on the caffeine, etc. I went off the pill in May after being on it for 12 years, so my body is still a little out of wack.

It is killing me to wait, but it is only a few more months and I am trying to pass the time with work and getting myself back on the exercise wagon again. Right now every muscle in my body hurts!!!

Happy waiting girls,

Laura

Hi Laura!!

Congratulations on the decision!!!!

DH and I keep changing out mind about this date.....first it was a year from now....then it moved to Oct...then Sept...and now Nov. I think we are really sticking with Nov though! LOL. Anyway, I spend a lot of time on the board "Your first child" They talk a lot about charting...even though we are waiting a little its good figure all this stuff out ahead of time!

I can’t wait to complain about waiting with you! LOL!

TTYS!

Hey Laura!!

Congrats :) Isnt the waiting thing a real pain :)

At least we have each other so we dont feel so silly!

Looks like we will all be trying around the same time. How great is that? We can go down the conceving road together....

I was just checking out my Fav birth forum www.birth.com.au and found out that you can actually have sex at different times of your ovualtion cicle and depending on when you do you can actually determine if you will have a boy or a girl! I know that it is probably just rubbish but still very fun I think :) Chris and I want a girl first but of corse either way we feel that same. I am going to read more! It sounds like Fun. Here is the link to the details.

So nice to have you here!

Hi Ladies,

Yes, waiting is becoming quite a pain. Like I said I had been on the pill for 12 years, so my body is all wacked out sitll. I have no clue when AF is going to appear. In June she was 3 weeks late and in July was a week early. Not to mention the PMS and the cramps!!! Ouch! I haven't had those since I was a teenager...

As the date gets clolser I am a little more anxious. The idea of having someone be completely dependant on you for everything is a little scarry. Or I could just be overthinking everything

It is great to know that there are others out there in the same holding pattern. My friends are either still single or they already have kids. I do have one friend who already has 2 kids and is trying for #3, so we have been keeping each other updated. But somehow it just isn't the same as going through the whole thing with someone who has never been pregnant before.

TTYS,

I was on the pill for about 4 years. I stopped taking it about a year ago however I am only starting to actually take notice of my cycle this month. The biggest difference I have noticed is that my TOM only lasts like 4 days....and the days on the ends are really just spotting (...sorry TMI?).

I have a doctor's appointment this Tuesday so hopefully I will come back with tons of info regarding ....well everything. lol

I know what you mean about friends. A lot of my friends are no where near marriage let alone kids. I am 26 so they are kinda in my age range...my DH is 29 and only some of his friends are married but oddly almost all of the married ones do have kids already. Its odd becuase we have been married longer than some of them...maybe thats not odd. lol.

Sometimes I totally freak about having a person depend on me. I just keep reminding myself, at first they are small...and then gradually they get bigger...so hopefully I will adjust with each step!
