New to WTTTC

Hi everyone!

My name's Bronwyn, I'm new to the whole "waiting" to try... we first got pg by surprise in 2008, m/c, then got pg straight away with DS, who's 9mo now. We had another sweet surprise in July'10, but we've just lost that baby also.

So I'm new to waiting in that we've always either been surprised, or been impulsive! LOL.

I'm not one who likes to wait, but I know it's the best thing for our family to do right now. I'm glad to find a board for support while we wait.

We will start trying again in the New Year. I'm praying we'll be lucky, as we've always been able to conceive very quickly. Charting, temping, OPKs, HPTs, they're not great for someone as anxious and impatient as I am!

Thank you!

Thank you! Thanks for the tip! Our second bedroom is our office but contain DH's full studio, so even though we plan on co-sleeping, it would be too little room for us and a baby...

Yes, DH lost 32 pounds and would like to lose another 10!

That's wonderful, you must feel great! What an awesome achievement. Is DH doing weight loss too? I find it really hard if my DH doesn't

Aww thank you! I've been losing weight since Valentine's Day! :)

Congrats on your first house! It's been going well here, we love my hometown and our new, much larger apartment! It is located on a busy street though and we'd need an additional bedroom for kids, and hopefully on the first floor as our current one is on the second level and I just cannot see myself going up and down all the time with a stroller!!

But it is close to public transportation which I use a lot.

DH and I would love a house in the suburbs or in a semi-rural setting! :)

Hi Victoria!

I was looking at your tickers and you're doing an amazing job at your weight loss goal! Congrats!

How are you going settling into your new neighbourhood?

We were renting a city apartment when we brought DS home from the hospital. We loved our place but it wasn't appropriate for a family. We bought our home in the 'burbs this Feb when DS was 4 months. I remember the whole saving bit! And still feel like we're watching every penny while I'm at home part time! All the best with your home ownership dream, all the scrimping and saving is so worth it when you get those keys!

Our biggest reason was to move, that's checked! But I've been having health issues for the past 5 years so I need to get better, plus lose more weight (I lost 16 lbs, but need to lose more!), and just general stability as we have only been here for 2 months. I'm 29 and DH is 41, so we don't want to wait too long! We're also hoping to buy a first home in the next couple of years, but we don't mind renting with a baby at first. We're trying to save a good down payment! I'm part of the Super Savers buddy group down below! :)

My DH isn't a teacher....he is a software engineer. He is a wonderful person, but definitely does not have the patience to teach kids all day everyday!

I have taught 7th grade for the past 4 years, so this is my first year teaching sophomores/juniors/seniors....but I think it will be fine :) The 7th graders are fun....they still act like kids but also act older too. Its weird, but fun. LOL.

Thanks for the compliment on my name. I never liked it as a kid, but I really like it now.

Hi, Sandy!

That's a really good idea, waiting until you're done with diapers. It must be exciting for you to be waiting and planning, daydreaming etc. I love thinking about babies and I hate waiting! You must be so patient. Your LO is lovely, I had one in 09, too.

Hi Bridget!

Good luck on your journey!

I'm an early years teacher, so K-3. Is your DH a teacher also? Mine is. 5th Grade.

How do you find, being a young teacher and teaching big kids? I could never do your job, I tip my hat to you!

I love your name. It's on our girl list. LOL

Hi Victoria,

Thanks for your post! I'm so happy to be here! Having your first baby will be amazing!

We're waiting because we want my body to recover physically and emotionally from the m/c. Even thought I know we could start trying right away, I just want some time. Also we want DS to turn 1 first (that was the original plan) and also to go on a holiday in December. In my heart I don't want to wait but my mind tells me I should.

What are your reasons for WTT?
