Question for graduating

I thought I would ask what do you think about this... I want to go on the P4P board, but I don't know if that's a good idea. Granted I love the support you get and give on a board like this, but I also feel that others getting pregnant would get me down all the time. Know what I mean? It would be great to get pregnant right away, but to be realistic that's rare. To find others graduating would be wonderful because one more person has their dreams coming true, but on the other hand you feel left behind each and every month.

Any ideas?

I've BTDT, and it's definitely difficult to see the pregnancies happen, especially after you've been through a couple of cycles yourself. But the support is wonderful, especially when the test comes back negative if that happens. I would recommend dual citizenship (LOL)--hang out here, hang out there. The pregnancies are really exciting until right around the time that you're hoping to test, which is when they can be stressful. Even then, it doesn't get too bad for me until I'm a couple of cycles into TTC. I think it's worth giving it a shot--you'll always have ladies that are also getting a negative and they're a wonderful means of support.

I agree with Sarah. That's pretty much what I did when I graduated here. It was definitely hard seeing others get a BFP (big fat positive) while I was still waiting to test. In fact, I should admit that the day Jenny got her BFP, I was a little jealous because we had graduated from here at the same time. So yr very excited for the people you get to know, but you still want it to be you. I felt a little silly the next day when I got my BFP, and I feel very lucky to have seen it so quickly. But had it taken us longer, I think the support I got from the other ladies would have outweighed any feelings of being left behind. There are a handful of women there who have been trying for a very, very long time, and seeing their positive outlooks and how supportive they are of others, made me feel like I could hold out for however long (though not patiently!). Plus, seeing some of them get pg after trying for years, makes anyone feel hopeful, whether it's your first 2 WW or your fourth! It's nice to have a group of women who are in the same place as you at the same time, and it's even nicer when you get to graduate together!

I HTH!! And I also hope you're seeing that BFP before you know it!

I agree as well. Being on the p4p board is great and I love seeing people get BFP's. It's a little hard, but really it's more happy. It gives me hope that I'll get one soon too! I like hanging around both boards too. It's hard to leave here when you've bonded with so many great ladies and I'm glad they don't mind if grads stick around!

Sarah,

Thanks for your response, I guess I never thought of it like that before. I don't know what I'm all psyched out for? I guess we'll see over time what I'm feeling at certain times and it's great to know I could go to them for comfort.

I'm glad you know what I mean and have been there. Well...not that you had to wait, but you know what I mean. This is going to be an adventure let me tell you! I'm nervous because I only have 2 weeks (on day 16)until my ttc cycle is here.

I guess it also helps knowing that I get the support from the P4P board and I don't have family constantly questioning me because they don't know. Yes, I think I'll join the board that way I'll see some of you here coming on and getting pregnant!

Thanks Again,

Tammy

Thanks Natalie,

I like that you came from your pregnancy board to post here. We miss you! I'm so happy you got pregnant so quickly. I can see what you mean about Jenny getting her BFP before you. That's what I'm afraid of, but life is like that. I just have to learn to be patient and let God do his thing and time it perfectly. It is great being on this board and getting the support I need, so I know that P4P will be the same. I just never put the two together that way.

If the women on that board have waited so long to get pregnant than I can too. I mean what else am I gonna do but wait it out. My DH and I made a commitment to this and if we don't get pregnant in two years then we'll adopt again. We'll still try during that time, but we want several children so we can't wait for mother nature to do her thing. LOL

Again thanks for coming on this board and giving me a little push and encouragement!

Come back to this board and P4P and keep us updated on how your little bean is doing. Say hi to Jenny for us, we miss her too!

Thanks Laney,

Good luck on your first ttc cycle! I'm rooting for you and I'll be on that board in 2 weeks when my next cycle starts! I will continue to come here and give support to those still waiting, I mean I've met some wonderful women here and I couldn't have gotten through these months without them. My family and friends have no clue we're trying soon, so I have no other support than these boards.

Thanks so much and hoping for a BFP for you in the near future!
