So confusing!

Hi Everyone,

It took 2 years for my DH and I to conceive our DS, who will be 1 year old next month. Knowing that it took us a while to conceive #1 and we would prefer our kids to be close in age, we decided several months ago that when DS turns 1 we would start trying again.

Well, now his birthday is just around the corner and I don't know what we should do. The economy stinks-my DH has been on workshare since February so he only works 32 hours a week. Our daycare provider is full with babies (she has 4 kids under 2) plus a few older kids, so if I were to magically get pregnant within the next few months I don't think baby #2 would have a spot with her. For those reasons I am hesistant to start trying, but I'm pretty darn sure that it will take us a while to conceive again.

It's hard trying to decide when the best time to start trying again is with so much going on =/

Hi Heather!

It sounds like you do have some hard choices ahead of you. I guess if I was in your position I would push TTC back just a few months until one of the issues was resolved or until I felt more comfortable- just because you could get pregnant right away and I would want to be completely OK with that before I started TTC.

I'm Ashley, welcome to the board!!

Don't you just wish we could know ahead of time how long it would take? It would it so much easier to plan!

I'm waiting for baby #2 as well. If I knew it was going to take a few months to conceive (which it probably will), I'd do it now. But then I don't want to get pregnant RIGHT now for a couple of reasons. Sigh. So I'm waiting a few more months to be safe...

Good luck whatever you decide.
