....Tom Petty song came to mind :)
I've been lurking on here for a month or so now, thought I'd venture out and introduce myself. It's getting harder and harder to wait!!
My name is Carlisa, I'm 25 and my husband David is 30. We've been together for 6yrs now. We bought a house 3yrs ago, then he finally proposed Christmas 2008. About 5mo later we got a common-law marriage certificate for school financial aid and tax purposes, but we still wanted a wedding. Unfortunately we were not able to afford a wedding and it was stressing me out, so we just decided to have a lil family picnic this yr and call it official.
When we first got together neither of us wanted kids at all. I have 3 much younger sisters and that was enough for me! Obviously my mind has changed :P David also said he never wanted to get married, and you see how that turned out. I started changing my mind a couple yrs ago but knew I didn't want kids just yet, brother-in-law was living with us and I wanted more time with just my husband. David has been a bit slower on the kid(s) thing, but I think he's about there too.
The main reason for still WTT is David's income. He had been looking for a better paying job for over a year, and finally started a new job a couple weeks ago. YAY!!! The hardest part now is waiting for that first paycheck and not knowing when or how much it will be or what he will average since it is still commission based. Hopefully we will be able to pay the bills a bit more comfortably enough to be able to start trying soon!
I would like to try and wait until Sept to TTC, but my baby fever keeps getting worse and worse!
