Hi guys!

So far my DH and I have changed out TTC date twice! LOL. The reason is becuase of when the due date will be. Because i still have one year of grad school and then have a licensing test...I really want the baby due no earlier than August.

The reason we keep changing TTC month is because I keep screwing up the calculations !

(40 weeks....but the first two weeks you arent even pg yet...blah blah...depends on your cycle...blah blah.)

Anyone else trying for (or trying to avoid) a specific month/season? If so what are your reasons?

:o)

Most definately,

DH does not want a our due date to be any time between December and March. He thinks that a December birthday would cheat our child out of birthday and Christmas. We both have birthdays in January and he thinks that is still too close to Christmas, as we both got many happy birthday/merry christmas gifts growing up. As for February and March it is just cold and gloomy where we live and he just generally dislikes winter. We also have a graduation that we have to attend next June so I don't want to be too pregnant to travel on a plane.

I am hoping for a September/October due date even though that will mean being larger than life in the summer. But I think that timeframe will make everyone happy? But I guess it will happen when it happens (after October).

I guess our timeframe has been moved but only a few months. I told him that I wanted to get pregnant when I turned 30. So we have moved up our date from January 05 to October 04. We also just thought that we should be married a year before trying. Our first anniversary is in November. I think that we would have waited longer if we still had things to do, but we are done with school, have a house, traveled the world. I guess the only thing I want is a new house since we live in a neighborhood with retired people, who just aren't real friendly. The only time you see kids around our house is on the weekends when they visit grandma and grandpa.

I agree that you should get your licensing out of the way before the baby arrives. I had a couple of friends in law school who were very pregnant while studying for the bar exam and they were really cranky. All the hours of studying they couldn't get comfortable no matter what position they were in. My one friend's husband dug her a hole in the sand on the beach so she could lay outside with her belly in the hole. She said that was one of the only places she was comfortable for any period of time!!!

"My one friend's husband dug her a hole in the sand on the beach so she could lay outside with her belly in the hole."

HAHAHA!!!!

thats hysterical! lol

I am a little worried about taking this test while 7.5 months pg....But I agree taking the test after will just be nuts...:o)

now i think my calculations are wrong again.......you moved your date to Oct...and want a baby due in Oct./Sept?....

I assumed (roughly).....

Oct. = July baby

Nov. = August baby

Dec. = Sept baby

etc.

Is this wrong? lol

Pretty sure your calcuations are correct. I am thinking that we won't get pregnant in the first month. Besides, we have a dive vacation planned for mid-October (no trying until we are on vacation), so depending on my cycle (that is still all screwed up) November will be the first full month of "trying."

I really don't care just as long as I can go to my niece's graduation I will be happy, even if I am wearing a tent!!!

You get tons of credit for fininshing grad school and being PG at the same time!!!! I don't think I could have done it. I had a hard time getting my christmas cards done last year after my wedding. I can't imagine taking the bar exam being pregnant. As it was I wore PJ's for about 6 weeks, no make-up, hair pulled up and ate lots of mac & cheese and chocolate chip cookies from Costco. My only escape was my 1.5 hour per day workout. I think that's the only reason why my very nutritious meal plan didn't go directly to my thighs.

Hi Girls,

I too am waiting for a time frame. Sort of.

We are waiting on both ends. Work has a few issues at the moment that need to be sorted, our house needs to be finished with the renovations and we also just signed up for Provate health insurance which has a 12 months waiting period so we have to wait for 3 months before trying to conceive. I am also waiting to get my weight into my ideal weight range for the pregnancy.

I am in Australia and I do not want to be really pregnant for Summer. So we are trying from the 30th of November.

Now for the fun part. I have found out the solution for working out your due date. I asked the doctor. It goes like this.

Add 7 days to your last period (first day of your last period) and then Subtract 3 months and add one year. That is your due date.

So as an example I have worked out when I would be due if Chris and I were lucky enough to conceive straight away.

My AF would be due on the 12/11 therefore if we fell pregnant in that cycle I would be due on the 19th of August 05.

If we feel on the next cycle (10/12) we would be due on the 17th of September 2005.

How cool is that hay! :)

See by what you posted....

"My AF would be due on the 12/11 therefore if we fell pregnant in that cycle I would be due on the 19th of August 05"

That turns out that Dec =Aug baby

And I thought Nov = Aug baby,

This is exactly why we keep changing the freaken month to TTC... lolol

Well see I could not work it out. I was reading everyones Due date on this other forum and thinking hang on that is 8 months to me so I just had to ask the doctor.

So depending on your period cycle you can tell when you would be due.

Hope that helped some way

I just don't want another summer pregnancy. And I mean any part of the pregnancy except for maybe the first four weeks or so. We'll be trying in Aug '05, so assuming we conceive right off, the baby will be due sometime around the last part of April or first part of May '06. Both of my boys were birth control babies so I'll be really suprised if it doesn't happen right away.
