Wanting a family after college

I guess a little background on me... As I was growing up I always felt like I have been "ahead" of people my own age. Not necessarily intelligence wise but I guess, maturity? knowing what I want in life? I mean in High School I wasn't the kid sneaking my parents booze and being the rebel.. I started my own business when I was 16 years old and actually broke into the marketing field professionally shortly after.. I am almost finished with my second college degree. I have always found that while my friends want to go out every weekend, "make mistakes they'll never remember" and everything else.. I am so much more content reading a personal development book and watching a good movie.. perhaps baking or playing some Kinect.. I just never had the desire to do a lot of the things my friends at my age do. I've tried.. I've gone to clubs, bars, none of that ever interested me despite how much I've tried. I've always been a home-body wanting more for my life? I work full time and go to school full time.. I'm a great student.. I love being in marketing as well as customer service.

Hi and welcome to the board! I'm Victoria, 30, and DH and I are WTT our first!

Congrats on everything you have accomplished! I am totally a homebody as well! You're right that there is never a perfect time to try, I need to tell myself that more! :) You don't need to own a house in order to have kids: plenty of parents rent! It sounds like you are quite grounded and will be able to handle the finances that come with a baby!
