Hey guys!

Let's have a chat thread about our daily struggles and successes with losing weight before TTC! Please introduce yourself. Let's do some questions:

-How has your weight journey been in the past?

-Where are you at now?

-How much do you want to lose before TTC?

-What techniques are you using?

-How can we help cheer you on?

I've been on the weight loss train for a long time now - Back in college (2006) I was up at 287. I lost about 40 pounds before my wedding in 2007, and since then slowly lost about 40 more. But I'd still like to lose 30-40 before TTC, and I've been off and on the wagon. Losing over 100 pounds successfully is a long ride.

Currently I'm at 203.5 and feeling great about it, because I've lost 7 just this month. My biggest asset during these four years has been counting calories on a calorie-tracking website, and I only manage to lose when I keep up with logging. Lately I've also been doing light exercise in fun ways - yoga that I enjoy, ping-pong with DH and ice skating.

I would love to get some lively conversation going to keep us all motivated!

How did everyone do this week? Do you think you'll make your February goals?

I was hoping for 197 this month, but I don't think that's happening. If I can get to 199 I will be happy though. 201 today! Yesterday I went for a long walk, played ping-pong and used my stationary bike, so I felt great. And today I did 20 minutes of yoga in the morning, then played ping-pong with friends for about an hour. Looking good!

I'm not doing so well, we celebrated all weekend plus DH KEEPS bringing home ice cream and I can't seem tor resist, LOL!

Way to go, Becki! We are full of boxes so my stationary bike won't be used for a while and it's cold out!

Your little man is just slightly older then mine. :) Under 200 is a big deal for me. Right around 210 is the lightest I have been since sometime in high school.

Work makes things so much harder. I work 12 hour days and some days I get lunch at a decent hour and sometimes its not till 6 at night during a meeting. Then after working 12 hours sometimes longer who has the energy to work out? I mean really? Having weight watchers on my phone and trying to plan meals ahead helps but there is always bad stuff hanging around and when I'm annoyed and frustrated (which happens alot at current job) its hard to stop myself from eating it.

Jay - long story short work is just making me misserable. They implimented a new schedule for management which was suppose to allow me a better life work balance and constantly I am losing my days off. They are ok with altering my schedule for there needs but when I need something I get nothing but flack. I'm suppose to have a partner but have not had one consistantly for over 6 months which means I'm attempting to do the job of two people on my own. For a company that was built of taking care of its people and there family, they could care less and it makes it hard to work for a company like that. I go three days sometimes without getting to see my son due to my hours.

Cassie - Thanks! Nice job on the 5 pounds! And I hope it stays off. I find that logging food is the only way I can stick to my goals, and it is really tough to care all the time, especially with work stress.

I'm starting a new job/assignment next week and I'm very nervous about sticking to my goals amid new-place stress. But I've done so well the last two months - I don't want to give that up! 199.5 today! I I'm not getting TOO excited yet about being under 200, but it was nice to see. If it "sticks" the rest of the week I'll be very pleased.

YEAH for officially being under 200! I would like to be there by the end of March. I know thats 10lbs in a little over a month but if I stick to it I know I can get there. I am so ready for spring to be here so I can take Simon and the dogs outside and walk and play. All this snow is starting to clog me down. Doesn't look like spring is going to get here any time soon. :(

Thank you! Same weight again today! :-) I agree, can't wait for spring. We had a freak warm day last Friday and the first thing I did was grab a friend and go for a long walk. But alas, the cold weather promptly returned.

How do you weigh yourself every day? That would drive me crazy! I try and do it no more then twice a week just to see where I am sitting. I do a official weigh in every Tuesday morning.
