Here's the thread to chat and encourage each other through our weight loss journeys!! You don't need to write your actual weight down or pounds loss: you can use percentages!

Your starting weight: 166 in February 2010
Your weight now: I will come back to this as I haven't weighed myself in a while!
Your goal: 127 or less
Your height: 5'2.5"
How are you doing it? The past few days have been good! I am eating healthy food and have been cycling on my bike for 30-40 minutes plus using dumbbells and ankle weights. I also just changed my shoes which had been making me quite tired, so that helps!

Had a pretty bad week, completely off track all weekend. I have to start fresh tomorrow and get back into that good mode. I was so proud of myself for those 3 weeks, then lost it this week when too much started going on: a new intern at work, my FIL having surgery, etc.

Becki,

I think we can all relate to "falling off the wagon". TOmorrow is a new day though!

Afm - Got rear ended on my way to school this mining just minutes after dropping Selin off. My neck and back are killing me so I'm leaving school in a few min to go to the doctor. Hopefully I'll have a quick recovery and nothing serious is wrong.

Oh no, Christine! How are you doing now??

Becki: Like Christine said, when you go off track, you come right back in! :) I wish your FIL well!

Becki - Hope you're FIL is feeling better!

Thanks Victoria! I'm feeling much better. My neck is still stiff and only a tiny portion of my back still hurts but overall MUCH better than Monday. I had a f/u appt. with my doc today and she said I'm healing nicely. Now I'm just dealing with the insurance companies and getting this freaking lady to respond! She hasn't opened a claim or returned her ins. co's calls - can you believe it?!? Grr...

My DH left for a 10 day trip overseas tonight so I'm hoping I can get back into working out in the evening since I won't have to share the tv with someone. My doc said I can exercise but not to overdo it. Of course I haven't done a thing all week, but have to change that soon as today I got a cupcake and a rice crispie treat from a student and didn't hesitate to eat one right after the other. :-/

That's so sweet of your student! Glad you are doing better! Dealing with insurance companies suck!!

I am doing alright: just being active throughout the day and doing home exercises. We have started eating more salads again as well.

Wow, Veronica! You've lost a lot of weight! Congrats!

Well I weighed 159 lbs Saturday, yikes!! My waist size was 31" though, which is healthier! My problem is exercise, I just hate it. I eat well but I guess I could eat more vegetables!

I'm not a huge exercise fan either, but I am a huge fan of the way I feel when I'm done!

Veronica,

Welcome to the thread! Congratulations on your incredible weight loss! I'm about the same height as you, maybe a 1/2 inch taller, and cannot remember the last time I was in the 140s. I'd love to just get back to the 160s but first I have to break the 200 mark - so tough!

My biggest obstacle is finding the time and energy to workout. I have an almost 2yo DD, I work FT, and I'm finishing up my last class for my Masters degree so there is very little free time left. I wake up before 5am just to get me and my DD ready for work everyday so I really try to get to bed early so there's not much time left at night for me to workout. I'm not beating myself up over it though. I would like to be below 200 before we start TTC #2, which could be as soon as March/April, but if it doesn't happen, oh well. I have a lot on my plate right now so don't want to stress myself out about it.

I'm a teacher as well and can totally relate to school parties blowing your diet! I came home with a box full of cupcakes, cookies, and brownies and I have a huge bag of candy in my snack drawer. I teach the entire school so it was an endless parade of students and they're so cute, it's like how can you say no? :-)

Oh and I could not believe your thermometer - 50F degrees below? BRRR! I live in the Midwest so I've weathered my share of bad winters, but don't think it's ever been that cold here! Stay warm!

Yeah, I don't know that I'd be doing much in the way of exercise with your schedule either, LOL.
