How do you keep your desire for a baby from overwhelming you?

I indulge it by researching baby things once in awhile, but if I get too into it it can be a real problem. The only thing I can really do is distract myself by keeping busy with other things, taking on new projects, etc. And I rarely think about babies when I'm with friends. But when you already have babies around, they're impossible to avoid, so I don't know, but I do sympathize! If there is anything new you can find to keep your mind busy, though, especially a long-term creative project that you can spend time thinking about, that is my best suggestion.

Lol...yea, I feel not right knowing the 2nd will be our last. Unless by some strange way of fates I end up with twins. DH will not go for more.

That's a good idea, Becki. I am in school right now to get my master's degree, so that does keep me fairly busy, especially this week during finals. You'd think I would have enough on my plate not to think about it!

Yesterday was one of those days when I was about to pull my hair out with the twins. They were cranky, not sleeping well for nap, threw all their dinner on the floor, and just generally being unpleasant. Instead of thinking "am I crazy for wanting another one?" I actually thought how nice it would be to have a little little baby again that can be comforted just by cuddles and a good breastfeeding session. I thought "at least I would know that *someone* in our family was content!"

I knit baby things to sell. I don't know if it helps or makes it worse though LOL!
