Hi ladies. I'm new here and I'm so glad to have found other ladies like myself. My husband and I are WTT until feb. 2013. We just set this date. we currently have a 3 year old daughter. Until our TTC date gets here. Is anyone else freaked that they might get pregnant while waiting to try? I am. Our first was not planned and I want the experience of WANTING and trying together and excitement when we do.

Thanks for reading

yeah, i'm a little freaked out by the notion. FI and i have to wait to get married because i'm unemployed, and we have to play by ear when to start TTC after that. it'll probably be at least two years from now. seeing as our reasons for waiting to even get married are financial, a baby would not be the best thing right now. i've been with FI for just over a year now and i think i've peed on three sticks just from paranoia, lol.

Oh I've taken so many test too. we are not doing great financially, but we are above water with no government help even though we qualify. Part of me wants to wait even longer. I heard someone say "if you wait until your financially ready, then you will never do it" and that's with anything (she was talking about marriage at the time).

I know that feeling as I got a blood test done for PG at the beginning of our marriage when we weren't ready! Turns out it was false.

Hopeful, when are you planning on trying? I'm wondering when the time comes if I will want to push the date back. But I would like for my 3 year old to have a sibling also

This is us for sure. While I like to think of us as fairly flexible people who could deal with many situations, and I know we COULD deal with getting PG before ready....we make a very good effort at preventing 200% everytime. Not only do I take the pill at the same time daily, but we often use a second form of protection during the deed.

I was in that boat up until I got a new job late last summer and the benefits kicked in a few months later Prior to that, we were on private insurance for about a year with no maternity coverage so if we got PG during that time, we'd be royally screwed. But now that we're on regular insurance again I can breathe a little easier and am not as paranoid about getting PG accidentally.

We've been using FAM with withdrawal/spermicide since last summer and I really really like it. If I got PG today, it wouldn't be the greatest timing because I'm a teacher and we're aiming for a spring 2013 baby, but it wouldn't be the end of the world either since we now have the proper insurance coverage.

What kind of BC are you on now? Have you looked into other types that might make you feel a little more "protected"?

GL!

I'm a bit worried! We are getting married this May so I really don't wanna have to deal with morning sickness on our wedding day or honeymoon. sometimes I wish it would just happen because I am SOOOO excited to finally be getting to that stage in my life :)
