WTT, but would love a little boy!!
Mon, 05-23-2011 - 9:12am
Hi al! I am new, here but am wtt. I just graduated from nursing school, and am waiting to pass the state board exam before we ttc. This should be about 2 months (assuming I pass, of course). I am so excited that I a can hardly stand it. We have two beautiful daughters, but we would love a little boy to complete our family, although I will be happy with whatever the Lord chooses to give us :) Has anybody had any luck with the Shettle's method, or have any other advice? I have started to track my ovulation using BBT, and CM. This is going to be a LONG 2 months!

Welcome to the board! Congrats on graduating from medical school, good luck with passing the state board exam.

I've had women have success with Shettles over on the Gender Determination board: http://forums.ivillage.com/ivillage/?category.id=iv-psgender Besides trying to have intercourse close to ovulation, there are certain foods you can take to make your system more acidic or alkaline, depending on what gender you are trying for.

Hi, welcome to the board! Congrats on nursing school! I have no experience on the Shettles method as we're WTT our first, but I wanted to say hi. My name is Becki, I'm 25 and my DH is 27. We're waiting but have no date set yet.

Hope the 2 months goes by quickly for you with all your studying! :)

Nah, I don't think 'leaning towards' one gender or another makes anybody a 'horrible person', it just makes us human. Me and DH are TTC our first starting this month as soon as I get off my period. Me and DH would LOVE to have a girl first, he is one of 3 boys and I had a brother as well & no sisters, so we think it would be fun to be in a house full of girls! I just always imagined myself with at least one girl, I love frilly girly stuff, Barbies, make-up, etc. I don't have much experience with little boys and having a boy scares me to death! haha........but of course, I'd love whatever I had to pieces. I too am scared that I would be 'disappointed', but I'm assured by most that usually that's not the case. I'm not sure if I believe in 'swaying' or not, maybe it works, maybe it doesn't, maybe it's pure chance, God only knows. lol. =)
