Almost Time For School To Start!

At least here it is. I believe August 16th is the first day. I remember back in the Jurassic Period when I was in school, we didn't go back until after Labor Day.
I'm curious. Do your grandchildren get a supply list from their school? I am amazed at what my grandsons' kindergarten list looks like! I can't imagine how difficult it is for some parents to not only come up with enough money to buy school clothes, but list items as well?
I'm planning on furnishing the items for my younger grandson this year. Will you be assisting with school items?

My Riley will be a 1st grader this year which starts on Aug 15th. I went with my daughter this past weekend to get her school supplies. There were a lot of items. I couldn't believe what all she has to have. Back when my daughter was in school she had to have certain paper, folders, and maybe some binders but that was it. Now it is note cards, tissues (3 boxes), crayons, scissors, pencils (2 boxes), pencil top erasers (2 boxes), 2 comp. notebooks, 5 heavy duty pocket folders, bottle of glue, 6 glue sticks, plastic pencil case, dry erase markers and I am sure there was more that I can't remember. Shew, I couldn't believe my eyes at all that stuff!

That's so true! I'd rather the extra be shared as opposed to returned unused!
