I got a text from my younger dd last night. She asked "Mom, when we were in school did you always have enough $$ for the book fairs"?LOL!!! Ok, can you be any more obvious? Since she lost her job their little family has been struggling financially. I simply told her that if she needed money for the grandsons' book fair...just tell me. It's such a small sum and that's what Grandma is for. I don't want him to miss out on a school function because of the lack of funds!

We're stopping by this evening to give them the $$. :smileyvery-happy:

Huh..I'd never heard of that. I have an Acer tablet and I love it. We tried the iPad, but the choice of apps is kind of restricted to Apple stuff. I wasn't a fan, even though the device itself is great.

I like my son's ipad but since I'm not familiar with apple apps, it can be a problem which is why I didn't buy one. I think people are either apple lovers or not & since but DH & I spent most of our career working for IBM, there wasn't much time to use apple products.

I don't like the idea that you have to download iTunes in order to get the apps you want. I can't even believe we talk like this.LOL!!! Who could have guessed what technology would be like when years ago we got excited over getting new ELECTRIC typewriters in high school.HA!!
