In Iowa, it is a "joint custody" state.

Please forgive me bu tisn't 5:15 during rush hour it is here. I have done a lot of childcare over the years and would never think to charge extra for the parents that are picking up at 5. There were many nights that the parent didn't get there until after 6pm as the traffic was just that bad.

I wish that there was a father that even wanted to know how my DGS was doing much less trying to spend time with him. My DGS is 4 and a short time back he looked at us and said I don't have a dad but my friends do. The look on his face about broke my heart. My YDD just about started to cry and told him all those DGS does have in his life that care about him.

You have many yrs before your DGS

5:15 to 5:30 pm is not "rush hour" where we live.

I'm never on time so I have nothing to say here. if either parent was ever interested enough to see dgd I would have been thrilled so being on time wouldn't have meant much to me.

Keep documentg what happens late and no show. Work hard not to get upset as the child is going to know. Stay calm and only give short and simple answers to DGS. Be honest but don't add any negitive coments or statments tothe child if you can help it, as they pickup on these.
