I need your assistance again. I haven't chosen my Medicare stuff yet and I don't even know if I need to. I do know that I don't need supplemental ins. b-cuz I already have my retirement health ins.
But do I have to choose whether or not I want drug coverage or does that just come automatic? I recall reading something about being penalized if I don't make my choices in time (what's up w/that anyway? Talk about pressure!)
Can you enlighten me?

Drug coverage does NOT come automatically.

65 in August....thank you so much for all the info. Yes, I do have drug coverage but not entirely. I have the basic Blue Cross/Shield where I have to pay a co-pay on each Dr. visit and all meds. I guess I better get a move on & call somebody @ SS office.

P.S. Kathy, take note cuz you're next!

I don't know if that's available to me....I called SS today and of course never got a real person. How does one get an appt. w/them if no one w/talk on the phone w/ya? Sheesh! I left a msg. so hopefully they'll get back to me before I turn 65. I guess that's what I get for waiting too long.

Yes, that's how I had to do it here in FL.

Well whaddaya know,......nobody from SS called me today. I was going to go down there cuz I figured it wouldn't be too busy w/the high heat & all but gdil left for a short errand which turned into a lot longer (I was watching baby)...she's a "gabber". Whenever she's out shopping or whatever, she talks to people she doesn't know-you know the type. Yakity Yak Yak. Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow and hopefully SS has air conditioning cuz 95 is predicted for Fri.
