Really? Medicare is the primary? I didn't even know that! Have you been bombarded w/insurance co. letters yet? I can't even tell ya how many offers I'm getting for "supplemental" ins. They go straight into the trash cuz I've got my Blue Cross Blue Shield ins. thru my retirement. I don't know much about Medicare either. Haven't looked at the paperwork yet that they sent w/the card...my brain can only handle a little atta time!

The little I know is dh has medicare part A & part B plus a supplemental. If we didn't have the 2nd. one we would be swamped w/more medical bills then we are. Keep that Blue Cross. Medicare actually is pretty good about paying for things. If you need or want to know more email me. You to Kathy, just email me.

Ya know what I don't understand about this? My whole life, I've been told to never carry my SS card in my wallet, leave it in a safe place at home....yet these Medicare cards have the SS # boldly printed on the face as your acct. #, and we need to carry the ins. cards in our wallets!!! HUH?

We need to write to someone and ask about this, IMO....but who do we ask? Somebody in govt. other than the Medicare itself. Hmm, who would that be? Maybe our State Senators? Our local newspapers might be interested in an article like this. I'm going for it, anybody with me???
