This isn't granny related, but we lost one of our beloved dogs this morning. She sustained an irreparable injury to her back and we had to put her down. It was just heart wrenching! My heart goes out to anyone that's been through this situation with their pet.

Oh Sharon, I'm so sorry for you & your family. It is so painful to have to say goodbye to a pet. We had to put our 2 days before the one we have now to sleep. It was horrible. I drove my last baby around for 3 hrs between the time we were told she was filled with cancer & that she should be put down & when my own family vet could do it. I cried so hard that I had to pull over at times.

Sending you many hugs. Dee

Oh Dee, I'm so sorry! They become such a part of our families. I've been through this before and it hurts just as bad each time. I'm hoping this is it for many years!

Sometimes things happen for a reason. My dh was out and about looking at some truck parts when one of the individuals mentioned they were moving and were desperate to find a home for their little female chihuahua. She's black and tan like our dear Mattie so I'm going to take her. Even if she isn't a good fit for our home, we will at least have more time to find her a suitable new home than her origial owners. They are moving into a "no dogs allowed" apartment.

Wish us luck with this little girl.
