Colleen, those pictures are SO cute!
Colleen he's just adorable. Your so lucky you get to do the grandma thing. T must be so proud.
Hate to bring up a bad subject but have you heard from your dd?
Yes, I must say that it IS enjoyable to just be the grandma (great). I've only had to change a diaper once and that was b/cuz they had gone to the store and the baby pooped! Just my luck! :)
But I do feed him his bottle now & then, just to give her a break, or I'll watch him so she can shower, etc. He's a pretty good baby if I do say so myself!
T sometimes has problems getting to the college on time, esp. on Mondays if he has to work the closing shift at Pz. Hut Sunday nights. He'll just take the next ferry which is an hour later and it doesn't really cut into his classes, it cuts into his UW job. But I guess it's no big deal to them.(his bosses) He doesn't get enough sleep IMO but then he doesn't need as much sleep as I do, plus he sleeps on the ferry. It's an hr long ride.
On his surgery, he's got 5 scars on his side and every once in a while, his lung hurts him if he like sneezes too hard or coughs.
Now how 'bout you missy? Do you get to relax w/that baby in the house or are you doing more than your share of spoiling?
About that bad subject.....a friend of hers put some $$ on her books so she can make phone calls w/out them being "collect" so yes, I do hear from her now & then.
She's having trouble finding an address to be released to when she gets out so she's asking me to get phone #s of people for her to call. I just sent her a list of "sober houses" that I found on the web. Had no idea that WA had so many of them....215! That's for the whole state. There's more for men than there are for women. She's still angry that I won't let her use my house, but she understands.
She tells me that she plans on traveling in her motor home. This RV has been sitting for at least a yr., more like 2. It's something her & her b/f bought used and had planned on fixing up. It's been gutted out so there's plenty of work to be done. Pipe dreams, that's all I see. But at least it runs....or it did when they bought it. I don't know how 2 people, both felons, can afford to fix up a motor home, just outta prison, no jobs, and think that they w/be living in it! She w/FOREVER drive me insane!
And I've come to the conclusion that it's gonna have to be ME that gets away. I've always been the "steady" for her. As soon as my grand-family gets out on their own, that's when I'll have some big decisions to make. Like....what am I going to do for the rest of my life?!
Are you talking about moving & leaving no forwarding address? lol I think there are times we all feel that way. I like it just fine that Niks bio stays away I just don't need the problems. After 24 yrs. of marriage I've had it w/him so I know where your coming from.
Its very nice in Maine & your always welcome in RI.
