Colleen, I'm surprised it took you that long to realize that for you to get an apt. the person who had it before you died.

I'm sure you have had this in mind but your living alone now so utilities for 1 may not be as high as you think they will be.There won't be 2 TV's, computers, hairdryers etc going plus a whole lot of other things like washer & dryer & hot water. It sounds to me as if you have found a great place to live & I hope you get it. If this couple doesn't want to let this house go then they will be thrilled to get someone like you who will take care it. I know you know what your expenses are but you also have to remeber that living in a small place is going to make a big difference in the prices of the utilities your using. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you the place sounds perfect.

Yep, I like your idea better....about the oldsters moving on to asst. living.

So I can just call our elect. company and ask about the power usage? On anybody's house? They did tell me that their son liked a cold house so it's not going to be quite accurate but close enough huh?

Colleen is the house electric heat? Thats a very big power bill. The smaler house your looking at what kind of heat does it have? Heat makes a hugh difference. We wouldn't look at a house that had electric heat in fl & alot of houses had electric heat, the thinking was that the heat never gets used all winter anyway but that just isn't true.
