When I saw your heading words....I thought, oh no, this is gonna be a horror story LOL. Glad to find out that "some" shores are still do-able down there. I haven't walked in sand in a very long time & I'm only a couple hrs away from the ocean (Pacific)....I need to do that someday. I remember ocean waters as being bitter cold too so that Gulf water must be heaven!
Nik & I went to the beach this week & hope to go again tomorrow. The weather has been gorgeous. Yes fran the water is so warm there, we never went to the beach for swimming but always used the too warm pool. I was told the warm water breeds bacteria so I stayed out of the ocean. The cold Atlantic felt very nice on a 90 degree day. Nik was in the water from when we got there till we left. Over 4 hrs. She has a body board & was having alot of fun using it.
I heard on the news that the sand looks very good no oil but at night when an ultrviolet light is used the oil stands out quite a bit.
Glad you had a nice day & I don't think I would have stayed either w/all she had there.
