This subject has probably been brought up a few times, but I haven't visited the village in awhile and am curious. As a child I had my Maw Maw and Paw Paw and Nanny and Grandad. My oldest grandson calls me Grandma while the younger one has named me "Day-maw". He has some speech issues, but I love the name.

I love "Day-maw"! My kids just call all their grandparents "Grandma" and "Grandpa". I think the cutest, though, was my niece when she was little. My dad has the habit of calling the girls "darlin" so she started calling him that :) Loved hearing her say, "Hi Grandma, hi Darlin'"!

Sweet! The youngest grandson that calls me Day-maw is quite the charmer. I have had the priviledge of taking care of both my grandson since they were tiny so my girls could work without the worry of them being in the care of strangers and relieving them of the cost of daycare. I am not ready for "charmer" to start school this fall! He'll still be here in the afternoons, but I'll miss him terribly.:heart:The Charmer!
