Will your grandkids be visiting for the holidays?

I was just at my parents this past week and my nieces are already planning on how they will all be sleeping my parents basement this Christmas, they just love to spend time with each other.  Will you have your grandkids around during the holidays?

Fortunately 3 of them live only a few miles from us, so they'll be here on Christmas Day. The rest of them (12) live out of town and their parents cannot/will not pay the travel expenses. They range in age from infant (3 of those) to 21 y.o. We visit them when we can and paid airfare for two of them to come here last summer. I would so love for them all to get together--they don't all know each other (half-sib/step-sibs as parents, feuds, etc.). I know DH and I will have to make it happen.

I'm sorry that they won't all be there for Christmas, it makes it hard when you aren't close by.

My only grandchild will be joining us this year. He is 5 & lives 2 hrs away. The last couple of years we have spent at his place but that involves his other grandparents & their family too. It really doesn't make for a fun Xmas as both sets of families are very different plus DGS gets so spoiled that he is a brat as he plays one grandparent off against the other. I'm thrilled to have all my family here tomorrow. Dee

My daughter, SNL, and all 4 grands got to my house on Friday 21st in the evening.  The next day, we all drove to my Mother's (30 mins away) for Christmas with her.  My daughter & SNL took his 2 boys (16 & 14) to their Mother's and then they went back to their house (1.5 hrs away).  We kept the 2 youngest (7 & 4) with us and took them on the Polar Express Train on Sunday for lunch.  It was so much fun and they were perfect little angels.  After our train ride, we all went to my daughter's house and we stayed there until Christmas afternoon. I am attaching a picture from the train ride (if I do it right)!

Adorable picture, Judy. I wish we had something like that to take our grandson too but then he likely won't enjoy it. He doesn't like going to new places or trying new things. He is already an old stick in the mud like his Poppa for stuff like that. lol He & his parents were only here for 24 hrs & it's sad to see them go but SIL had to go back to work. Dee
