Anyone registering their kids for summer camps this year?  This is our first year for camps and the boys are all registered.  I'm pretty excited because some of the camps overlap so I'll get some free time.  ;)  There's lego, ball hockey, preschool sports, dino camp, and swimming lessons.  Yay!

We have done most types of camps, art, sports, high adventure, religious and the like. My kid went away to camp the summer after kindergarten for two weeks. Dd is too old for camps but went away to Girl Scout often including 16 days last year on a high adventure trip in Costa Rica!! Ds, 15 yo, has football camp, then heading to Europe with my dad for 5 weeks, leaves right to Boy Scout camp for a week and then a week of band camp! Then the football season starts!!

Costa Rica and Europe sound like great 'summer camps'!  I wish I could go for one of those.  ;)

Europe is hanging out with my dad and his side of the family, not a bad time, but not high adventure either!!  THe Costa Rica trip was true adventure, waterfall repelling, white water rafting, learing to surf, 7 day trek over mountains hacking a trail with machetes!  She climbed to tree top canapies, learned to tend a banana farm, went to cities, national parks and saw how poor some people really can be outside of the US!!
