What are you driving?

I'm just curious.  What kind of car do you drive and how many people do you usually have to transport?

We just bought a Pilot a few months ago.  I was driving a Subaru Forester before (DH drives it to work now), but now that the kids are older, I needed something bigger to accommodate sports equipment, friends, other family members, etc.  At least three times a week, I find myself driving other kids in addition to mine, so the Pilot is working out well for us.

When the kids were younger, we had a big GMC van. Now, we have 2 Impalas. They are just sedans, but it works. They have big trunks, can fit 2 huge hockey bags back there!

DH is an engineer at Toyota and designed the new Sienna. So, he appeared one day with one, and gave my mom my Highlander. I hate to admit it, but I really like it. With 4 children, all of whom I still have in car seats, I need the extra room. I have all the options, and it is the least mini-van-looking of them. I can fit the double jogging stroller (huge!) and tons of other things in the back. I have AWD, which I need in my area. It's typically just the 6 of us, but I can fit one more if needed.

We are currently buying out our lease on our Toyota Sienna. I HATE it, but you really can't beat the roominess, automatic doors, and convienence of getting the little ones in and out and their ability to move in and out. It's a beast to park though.

I really want a smaller SUV that will have room for all of the kids when necessary and for hubby to get rid of his useless pick up that only seats 5 in exchange for a larger SUV for big family trips.

I have never wanted and still don't want to be one of those minivan moms! lol
