I don't know how this winter has been at your house, but at least on child here has been sick since Thanksgiving.

We're all sick here too. Not just the kids either. It started mid-November and it's still going on in January. DH was sick the day I had dd, now 9wks old, then the kids got sick, my parents both got sick, baby got a small cold (no surprise there) and then 2 weeks ago it became my turn.

Thankfully we've all just had colds, but I've had enough already. Now all the original sick kids are sick w/ new colds. Runny noses, coughs, fever, etc. And of course I'm still not feeling good, Dh is sick again and now baby is really sick w/ the cold. I'm praying she sleeps well tonight. I actually gave her some Tylenol today and again tonight. Her eyes are all glassy and she's so stuffy and miserable, but she still smiles.

I'm hoping this comes to an end soon. The only ones not sick are the older 3 kids, but #2 has been saying his throat hurts for 2 days now and #1 has been very tired for about 3 weeks and I don't know if he's sick or if it's just typical tired teenage boy stuff.

The only thing I have to add to your list is that we keep a bottle of hand sanitzer in the car during cold and flu season and we use it as soon as we get in after being at the library, store, homeschool activity, class etc.

Usually that is us during the winter months too. This year we started using oil of oregano to boost our immunity and keep the sickies at bay and it seems to have helped tremendously.

Ok, Christime, help a TOK mom out. Tell me know about oil of oregano. Is it an actual oil or a pill? How do you do the dosages for the various ages and sizes. I am so tired of the constant sickness. I think we need a new weapon. Fish oil isn't working like it used to.

Sorry it took me so long to read this and get back to you!

For the kids I use this spray http://hyssophealth.com/pages/products/product-usage.php I spray it in their mouths whenever it seems like someone is starting to feel under the weather.

For myself and DH we have a bottle of the stronger oil of oregano and we put it in water and drink it.

Just a few days ago I was waking up with a stuffy nose and an itchy throat so I made sure to take my oil of oregano regularly and I am fine now.
