Does anyone here do cooking by the month or some version of it?

Over the summer I checked out a few freezer cooking books from the library and thought it was a great idea, but never actually tried it.

Yeah, we have similar problems here. We have food allergies and recently Serena (3) has decided that she hates pasta. But I've found that there are things not pasta oriented that freezes well. I just want to figure out how to streamline the cooking process. Maybe I'll make a thread and see if we can't start just thinking of things that would freeze well.

Christine, it is when you spend a weekend cooking all your dinners for the entire month which you freeze. It is a lovely idea: not having to worry about what to make for a month. I am just trying to figure out how to take it from theory to reality with a TOK family.

That seems like more work than just doing a bit of cooking every day! My kids love to help me prepare dinners so I enjoy that time of the day with them. I do like to have a few quick and easy meals in the freezer for those days that are just too busy though.

Our problem with this is it winds up being hard to keep kosher.
