The Duggars are expecting number 19.
I struggle with the Duggars. I try very, very hard not to be judgmental because I don't like being judged for my own decision to have one child. I guess I just cannot wrap my head around the concept of having that many kids. In my own personal opinion there is something more than a little "off" about that. Shouldn't you just STOP at some point??
They're self-sufficient, don't ask for handouts, the kids seem well taken care of and they seem to be a happy family (from the little I've seen)...I will give them that. However, I really have a problem with how the older kids have to basically raise the younger ones. Helping out is one thing. But when you have 19 kids, those kids are doing more than helping out. And how much time can the parents possibly spend with each child?
I know that they believe that God will give them the number of kids he wants them to have. They are entitled to those beliefs. I am certainly not going to say that they're wrong, and I definitely don't want to insult anyone's beliefs. But I will say that I *personally* do not believe that just because they keep getting pregnant that that is because God WANTS them to keep having more kids.
They have a beautiful family, that's for sure. I think it's just SO different than mine (and my choices, what I want for my family, etc) that I just can't really relate to them at all.
ITA with everything you said, Amy.
hay, get out of my mind! I agree with what you said totally Amy, it's how I think also.
My question is, after having all those kids I wonder if she'll be in diapers or have to get her bladder lifted? I keep wondering how her uterus doesn't give out, how sad is that? lol
To each their own and they are not a burden on the system so more power to them.
