Have a good one!
I'm still off work.
Hello all, beautiful day here. :-)
I was outside weeding and cleaning up some of the flower beds and I saw the biggest spider I have EVER seen in a bush outside my bedroom window. I seriously want to cry right now just thinking about it. Have I mentioned I HATE HATE HATE spiders (and all other bugs)?! I sprayed about half a can of bug spray on it and am now trying to convince myself that there is no way it could possibly have survived. Trying to put it out of my mind completely.OMMM....enormous spider does not exist....OMMM.... ;-)
Not much else going on today. I might go back out and do some more yard work later, or I might just stay in and do some cleaning. Might see if the fam wants to go for a bike ride tonight after supper. :-)
Nathan had a great day at school yesterday. Picking him up was kind of hectic but we got through. No plans today. Dh has football practice and then going walking. Nathan and I are going to my sisters house for dinner. Her daughter just started 1st grade so I want to see how it went. She was previously in a private kindergarten so she had a reality check.
Here is a picture of Nathans first day.
Well we had a startling wake up at 6am this morning, my cousin is here vacationing for a week and forgot we set our house alarm at night. She opened the back door and set off the alarm, scared us awake that's for sure! lol It's nice having her here, she'll be flying Blue back to Cali. on Tuesday it looks like, so I'll be making a trip into San Antonio Sunday or Monday. :) I'll be sad to see Blue go but they are bonding well and she's already totally in love with him. She's even buying an SUV so she can haul him around easier! lol Ahhh to be single and have money, I really don't remember those days.
Paige did great at her first day of school but had 2 issues. One was her class room was hot and she was thirsty. Working on the temp thing by talking to the office and I sent her with her canteen today so she could drink plenty of water. Her second complaint was they had no recess! I'm hoping it'll change after the first week or so when the teacher realizes she can't keep their attention in the afternoon because they need to run. The only problem is it is still so hot in the afternoon here it's hard to send them out to play! It would be a nice school fund raiser to get shade over the playground equipment. I may have to talk to the Girl Scouts on that one :)
Not much else going on. I treated myself to a pedicure today and bought a new pair of jeans from Walmart. I'm so excited, I fit into a size 14 petite, I have not see 14's since before I had Paige! Motivation to get back into tracking on Weight Watchers and exercising. :)
I agree with Amy, house work can wait. Rest up and feel better soon!
Oh I'm right there with you, I so hate spiders! The problem is we get BIG ones here in TX along with the scorpions, eeeek I just hate bugs! The only thing that doesn't freak me out is the little lizards, gecko's, that we get. Those are cute and I like them because they eat other bugs!
I vote for bike ride tonight! ;-)
my gosh Nathan has grown since your signature picture. He's getting so grown up, wow. :) I hope 1st grade went well for you Niece, I'm sure it was a big adjustment from the private to public school. I know Paige would be in for a shock with noise level of the hallways in public school. ;-)
