Well it was a fairly busy weekend for me and now the week is starting off busy. I will be teaching a CPR/First Aid class all day today for some of the teachers at my DD's school. School starts next Monday for us and we're more than ready for it. I wish they would go to school all year round and just take longer breaks over the school year. The summer off was nice but Paige needs interaction more, ok more structure should be the thing here. lol
Paige had a sleep over Saturday night at a friends house, it was for a birthday. Well, around 12 or 1am Paige got mad at them for still talking and she hit the b-day girl in the back! The parents had a talk with her and she knew right away she did wrong. :( So as punishment there are no play dates for at least a week and I canceled her play date for today. Needless to say she cried for 2 hours on Sunday when I told her this but I think it was the most effective punishment for her actions. :(
Well I have to head off to class. My internet has been acting up all weekend and come to find out it was my antivirus software. Ugh. Now I can tell DH that's what the problem seems to be.
Here in our HS (different per school district, city, county, state, etc.) they have to have 25 credits to graduate (at least) - 4 years of math, 4 of English, 3 of social studies, 3 of science, and the rest you fill as you will; most college- bound kids take 2-5 years of foreign language (starts in 7th grade; 7th and 8th count as one year of high school language).
Happy first day of school to those that are starting back today! Victoria, M@, Rod...any others?
Had a very relaxing weekend here. Dh and Travis went shopping on Saturday, so I had the house to myself most of the day. Yesterday was my birthday and it was another quiet day. Dh and Travis gave me some great gifts and baked me a cake! That was pretty funny to watch. ;-) We went out for a nice dinner last night and then came home for some cake and ice cream.
Today Travis went with his friend to his (the friend's) grandma's house for the day. He will get home in time to eat dinner, practice his drums, and then go to his drum lesson.
I'm trying to decide if I want to run a few errands while he's gone or just stay home. I know I *should* go run the errands but I didn't sleep well last night so I'm feeling pretty lazy. It's kind of rainy too.
It's back to school day here.
School here too - M@ starts senior year - waaaaay too fast.

Sounds complex and difficult Sue (and more like the Turkish system which my nephews and neices have to cope with)
Glad you enjoyed your birthday Amy.
