Does your only child primarily use a bathroom that is hers (or his) alone OR is it a bathroom that is shared (i.e. also the primary guest bathroom)?

Finally at age 16 he's in his bathroom - now the issue has been that his tub was refinished and then the finish tore, but honestly he has showered in our bathroom from age 6-16 (younger than 6 we only had one bath), and then tried his own at 16 (last Aug) when we said enough was enough.

He showers in our master bath, but for using the toilet, sink, brushing teeth, etc. he uses "his" bathroom, which is the half bath. That kind of became "his" bathroom when he was very little, and it was easier to be able to leave the potty seat on that toilet, and leave his stool in front of the sink for brushing his teeth, etc. So his deodorant, toothbrush etc. are in there and he does everything in there except shower.

Now if he ever chooses to move into an upstairs bedroom he will have his own full bath up there. We always figured he would move up there (and we'd move the computer room downstairs) at some point when he got a bit older. Now not really sure he'll ever want to do that though, as he really likes having his bedroom downstairs next to ours. Maybe when he's a teenager. ;-)

I use the ensuite bathroom and DH and Mitchell share the main bathroom. This works for us because they both like to create a flood which drives me insane but they don't care. I like to wash my bras in the shower and that annoys both of them so our system works :)

we are fortunate to have a 3 bedroom 3 bath home....Paige has her own bathroom that guests also use or they go to the one in the guest bedroom. The thing is Paige mostly uses our master bathroom, so hers is hardly ever used except for the cat's who's litter box is in there! lol

Paige also sleeps on a little bed on the floor of our bedroom, she doesn't like to sleep in her room because it's on the opposite side of the house. No big deal as long as she's not in our bed kicking us! lol

unfortuantely we only have one bathroom right now.

The house we lived in before this had 2 and 1/2 baths. Kian had his own bathroom and guests mainly used it if they were spending the night. otherwise everyone would use the downstairs bathroom.
