What are you up to today?
This week I've been trying to get back in the habit of getting up when dh leaves (around 6:45). This is what I typically do during the school year and since I've slept so late this summer I need to readjust. It's going pretty well, now Travis on the other hand....LOL. He's been sleeping until 8:30 or 9:00 lately. We've been moving up his bedtime to get that back on track. Thankfully he's not usually too grumpy in the morning, so hopefully those first few school days won't be too rough.
Today I need to run to the grocery store for a few things (I want to get some steaks, etc. to grill for dinner tonight), finish the laundry, and pay a few bills. Travis and I will probably swim this afternoon. He has his last percussion lesson tonight. Once school gets under way he will start having a lesson during the school day once a week, but it's only a 10 minute lesson! Might hit the movie store today too.
Have a great Friday! :-)
I had a great day today :) I helped out in Mitchell's classroom this morning which is always fun and then when I got home my Maths books from the university. That was very exciting for me :) Then I went to see The Proposal at the cinema which I quite enjoyed. Also I was wandering around the shopping centre for a bit where we used to always go when Mitchell was a baby and toddler. I had this feeling of "yeah, that was all good, but I don't miss it, don't want it back, and just love my 6 year old". It was cool :)
Mitchell and I went shopping after school for a few snacks because we're going to see HP6 tomorrow and Mitchell doesn't want to get hungry seeing as it is 2.5 hours :) He's going to skip Auskick in the morning because he has hurt his foot jumping off the playground the other day. I can't see anything wrong with it so we'll just keep him off it for the weekend and if it's not better on Monday will take him to the doctor.
Sunday we are going to the museum which means catching a train into the city so that should be fun too. Michael is driving from Sydney to Brisbane tomorrow. He finished his course in Sydney today and has a conference in Brisbane starting Monday and he's driving to build up the kms on his car.

Today's the last weekday of the holidays.
Today is run around and get everything done day!
Hello all. Today is another busy day for me. I went to the Red Cross office this morning to pick up the CPR manikins for the class I'm teaching on Monday. Whenever my MIL calls I'm heading out of town to Houston (again lol) for a baby shower. Tomorrow is the shower and after I will meet up with a friends son to give him a ride back to Del Rio. :) Paige has a sleep over b-day party to go to tomorrow night so my DH is happy I'll be coming home even if it is later in the evening.
Sunday I'll be brushing up on my CPR/First Aid skills so I'm ready to teach on Monday. I have another class I'm teaching at on the 22 and it looks like on the 29th also. I wonder if I can get tax credit for my donated hours. Doubt it but we'll try. I'm a volunteer instructor so I don't get paid. :( Oh well, it's for a good cause.
So much to do and so little time, Girl Scouts is gearing up for the new school year so I'll be busy!
