Today Travis and I are going to go get dh from work and have lunch with him. After lunch I'm sure we will go in and talk to all the people in his department, and then Travis will probably want to look at all the equipment. Dh works for a large farm implement maker and they have a big showroom full of assorted tractors, combines, and such and you can sit in them. I have pics of Travis in them from when he was just a toddler, and believe me, I had to DRAG him out of there at that age! ;-)

Not much planned besides lunch. It seems that the laundry isn't doing itself this week, so I really should make an effort to get that done. Then we'll probably either swim or read books.

Oh, and Travis starts school a week from today! Kind of sad...I always miss him when he first goes back to school, after spending all day together during the summer. Found out there's one kid in his class this year that I could really live without. I'm hoping it won't be an issue.

I can imagine Travis would enjoy being at DH's work.

At least around here, teachers start back a week before classes (much to two of my SIL-teacher's dismay!).

Well today is clean out the guest bedroom day, yuck. I have Girl Scout stuff piled up and waiting to be sorted, so not looking forward to that. My step daughter and her friend may be her Sunday evening or Monday to stay for a couple of days so I need to get it done. I'm still getting on Paige about picking up her room. She like to pile stuff in the corner and not put it away, I guess this is common with all kids, heck I still do it myself! lol

Paige starts back at piano lessons today. We slacked off over the summer so she'll need a few refresher before she gets into the actual lessons. Does it make me a bad parent if I only want to do dance, piano and Girl Scouts? I just don't want to be running like hell this school year, so I think we're going to keep it simple. Add to that the fact that I'll be working I think that's enough. As it is I have a lot going on with Girl Scouts since I'm a trainer now, so we have enough.

We have clouds today so I'm thinking of doing a rain dance in the back yard in the hopes that we'll actually get some rain. We've had over 45 days of 100* heat, the old record was 35 days straight. I think it'll be a while before this one gets broken. We're hoping a hurricane will give us some rain, how sad is that.

Ok, back to cleaning and organizing!

Dance, piano and Girl Scouts sounds a perfect mix of activities Jodi and after all Girl Scouts can be as "big " as you want it to
