Today was pretty good really for a Monday :) Mitchell has decided that going to the supermarket is one of his favourite things to do and that he'd like to do it after school. So instead of going on the weekends it is now our Monday after school routine. He's actually good company and a great helper so it was quite a bit of fun :)

I got an email back from the course coordinator of the Maths Education degree and she confirmed that the 2 Open Uni subjects I was thinking of doing can be used as my first year maths subjects toward the degree. This is great news although it does mean that from Sep-Nov I will have my work cut out as I will be doing 2 3rd year accounting subjects plus 1 1st year Maths subject.

The crappy would have to be the continuing boringness of current study :) I now have to do a report on accounting considerations when opening a manufacturing plant for an IT company in Taiwan.

Good morning! Dropped Travis off at camp this morning. This is the week of his "Science of Harry Potter" camp at the museum. He was excited this morning, so I hope he has a great time.

So, I'm happy that I'll have a quiet week to hopefully get some things done around here while Travis is off having fun at camp.

Crappy was definitely that AF showed up with a vengeance yesterday! I was painfully bloated and my lower back ached so bad. I had trouble sleeping last night, just could not get comfortable, UGH!

I slept in this morning, couldn't seem to wake up. I ended up taking an OTC sleeping pill since I took a nap yesterday. Crappy for the weekend would be the dull headache I had all day yesterday and still today. I'm going to call the chiropractor and get an adjustment, I think I'm out of alignment lol. Happy for this weekend was my step daughters visit. :) We had a nice time hanging out in the pool and just visiting. We'll be seeing her again Aug 4, her graduation from her nursing program is Aug 5! We're so proud of her, I honestly didn't think she had it in her to be a nurse but she's found her calling. This is a girl who had a modeling scholarship and turned it down because she didn't like how competitive it was along with how they treated you. :) She's a good kid, I'm glad we have her in our lives.

Well, crappy Monday, just called the chiropractor and he's out until Sept on vacation! Oh well, maybe I'll just get myself a massage. :)

Today I have to mail out the invites I printed up for my SIL and brother's renewal of their vows. They are having their marriage blessed on Sept 12, my 13th wedding anniversary! ;-) I bought the boxes of invites that have at walmart with the 2 silver hearts, they turned out really nice if I do say. :)

Paige likes to help at the store most of the time too. I get her to find things for me and we have been trying different fruit's. She's taken a liking to peaches so we have to get some more today. I hope I can get her to eat some other stuff, she's hard headed about things most of the time lol.

Ouch on the math classes, I'd have a really tough time with those math is my weak subject. You can do it!!

That sounds like a FUN camp, wish I could go! lol I love Harry Potter and I love that the books have drawn so many kids into reading that wouldn't have been into it.

Sorry to hear your AF arrived, just finished up mine and thankfully it wasn't bad at all. Thank's to the birth control I use they are very mild with little bloating. :)

Weekend crappy: Sad to say it'd be most of the weekend. Keenan's tummy was having problems, and I changed more gross-disgusting-icky poopy diapers than I have in quite awhile. DH did change some as well, so at least I didn't have to do every single one. DH also didn't feel well; he was very tired and had an almost perpetual headache. He's been really stressed at work and that's how his stress manifests. We didn't make it to either church service yesterday, so I felt very isolated and was sick of the living room by last night (that's where we mostly hang out).

Weekend happy: Aside from his sudden explosion in whining, Keenan was really funny and cute a lot this weekend. He and DH were watching F1 racing yesterday afternoon, and he was *so* excited. He'd yell, "Race car! RACE CAR! RACECAR!!!!" and once, when it started back after a commercial, he hopped off DH's lap and actually did a little dance with a spin. :-) We did make it to Wal-Mart yesterday and he pointed at the seagulls and said, "Bird! Bird! I seed it!" :-)

Monday crappy: Keenan's tummy is all better but now he has a low-grade fever. It hasn't been over 100.2 today. I think for it to be an actual fever-fever, it has to be 100.5. He may technically be ok for school (Moms' Day Out) tomorrow if it doesn't get any higher, but I'll probably keep him home to be safe. That leaves Wed. and Thurs. for school, and then they have a two-week break before the fall session starts, so Keenan and I will be spending a LOT of time together. This should be interesting.

Monday happy: Despite his low fever, we went to the health food store and the fabric store, and he behaved beautifully. At the fabric store I bought felt in five different colors (blue, green, yellow, red, orange) and I'm going to make letters out of it. He has foam letters and numbers that he plays with in the bathtub and I wanted something similar for outside the tub. Paper will tear too easily, and the foam letters only have one of each letter-- I'd like him to be able to spell stuff with them eventually, so I'll just make them myself. The felt is made from recycled plastic bottles, which I thought was really cool.

...I remember the days when ours, our relatives' and our friends' houses all had refrigerators with loads of those magnetic letters on them....always fun going by and making a new word or phrase here or there for them to find...

Amber,

Your Keenan stories always bring a smile to my face. Well not the poopy ones, LOL. Too cute about his happy dance and being so excited about the race. :-)

Enjoy having your little helper at the grocery store! Travis used to like that also but has definitely outgrown it now. Grocery shopping is one of his least favorite things now! Can't really blame him, it's one of my least favorite things too!

Glad you had a nice visit with your stepdaughter. A massage sounds wonderful. I think I need to hit dh up for a back rub tonight, my lower back is still so sore.
