Hope your weekend is a good one!
It's a quiet weekend here.
I had a crazy busy and fun Saturday :) First was Mitchell's Auskick presentation, but because of inclement weather it was fairly rushed. He was still happy though - he got his trophy and we bought a really cute DVD they'd made up.
Then I had lunch with my Vegan Freaks. It was so wonderful to meet them for starters, but also to have a delicious lunch and not have to block out what other people had on their plates :) One of them had come down from Sydney, but the rest of us are planning to get together again.
Then last night I went to a party and had great chats with some good friends. Mitchell and Michael went to the footy and the Crows won and they both had a great time too :)
Today is going to be a day of housework, groceries and gardening.

It must be the weekend for sleep overs, Paige went to the Grandparents last night for her own sleep over. :) She had lots of fun and was happy to come home late this afternoon.
I've been packing and getting ready for my trip to San Antonio tomorrow and then we're off to Michigan again on Wed! My cousin flies out on Monday afternoon and Blue flies out on Tuesday. :( We'll miss Blue but they have bonded well and I know Julie will have a blast having him with her in Cali. I'm happy, I know she gets lonely being by herself all the time and this will be a great reason for her to cut back on her work hours! :0)
We watched Little League Baseball today and throughout last week. San Antonio made it all the way to the semi-finals for US champ but lost to California in the end. Now it's US team against China Taipei I believe. Will try to watch it tomorrow it's been fun watching these kids.
That's about it, aside from some good wine!
Nice weekend here. Friday night we went out to dinner and then hit Barnes and Noble. I needed to buy some books for a birthday gift, and of course Travis and I each got a book, too. Came home and vegged on the couches reading and watching some TV until I went to bed...then dh and Travis stayed up much later for some "male bonding", LOL. (They played a football video game and then just hung out chatting and watching some more TV.)
Yesterday was all about yard work. Dh mowed, Travis ran the yard sweeper, and I pulled weeds. Travis had hockey in the evening and then we picked up a pizza afterwards.
Today Travis went with his friend to the friend's sister's softball tournament. He got picked up at 7:15 which meant we needed to be up much earlier than we usually are on the weekends! He'll be home whenever the sister's team gets eliminated. I suspect if it's early he'll go to the friends house for a while to play. For dh and I...more yard work!
It really feels like fall here, it was downright chilly last night. I think we're definitely going to have an early fall, but hopefully it will be a LONG fall. Otherwise I'm afraid it's going to be a l-o-o-o-ng cold winter! Fall is my favorite though, so I'm loving the weather and being able to bake, make cozy comfort foods, curl up with a blanket and read, etc. :-)
San Antonio is to take my cousin to the Airport and Blue the boxer is flying out to be with her on Tuesday! :) We'll be down to 1 dog and 3 cats after that. On Wednesday we'll be driving back to MI for 2 weddings! My cousin is getting married on the 5th and my brother and his wife are having a "wedding" on the 12th. They are married by the JP already but will have their vows blessed in the church, like my DH and I did. Funny thing is, they are getting married on our 13th wedding anniversary! ;-) So Paige will be missing some school but that's the good part of her being in private school, we won't have any problems with her not being there.
So this is going to be a busy week...and to top it off I'll be getting my monthly friend while we are on the road. :(
Hay, if you're in Des Moines on Thursday let me know, that's where our stop will be! ;-)
Our fall has started here also, we're finally in the 90's. :) I'm looking forward to going to MI and feeling the actual fall weather, and I'm really hoping the leaves will start changing colors for me.
Enjoy your working in the yard. We had work done in ours but we hired some guys to do it. Needed trees trimmed and brush hauled off, DH's back isn't up for that and I'm lazy lol.
Anybody want a 7 1/2 year old little girl that's crabby and has attitude because I won't let her play her DS or watch TV? Ugh, I'm glad I'm going to San Antonio today lol.
