It's Father's Day here and Mitchell has been hanging out to give Michael his present. We got him an iPod dock for his desk at work and Mitchell insisted on getting him some Ghostbuster flanelette pyjamas :) Once they were up and the present given (they sleep on the sofabed in the lounge room together on Saturday nights now) Mitchell made some toast. He was so pleased with himself and Michael actually likes his toast burnt, cold and with too much margarine so it worked out well :) Mitchell has now decided that he is the house expert on toast and when anybody wants toast he is to make it.
We then decided to go out for a coffee because that is Michael's favourite thing to do. After some deliberations Michael decided to go to a play centre so that he could enjoy his coffee and Mitchell could play. It was good but it is always really cold there and I had dressed with a warm coffee shop in mind and was shivering after a while :)
Michael will be watching the footy this afternoon (it's the first weekend of the finals) and I'll be grocery shopping and getting things ready for school tomorrow. I've drawn up my plans for the busy 12 weeks of study I have ahead, so hopefully I can stick to them okay and get through it all.

Sounds like a good Father's Day, Belinda.
The weekend started early for us.
Hello everyone! We've had a wonderful weekend so far and are enjoying the extra day off today...oh wait we're on vacation so we have the rest of the week off also!
We went to a wedding Saturday afternoon/evening for my cousin. It was beautiful thankfully as the wedding was on the waterfront outside! The temp was perfect around 75* and the sun was shining bright. Paige really enjoyed the wedding and the celebration after, dancing and playing with her cousins. She enjoyed it so much she threw a major fit when we had to leave! To the point where she threw her self down on the couch and proceeded to whine and cry about going home. DH was mad, I was embarrassed and Paige got her self a spanking when we finally did get home. :( We haven't seen that kind of behavior from her since she was 3, ugh. It didn't help any my Mom offered to bring her home with them, but at that point there was no way we would have let her stay anyway. Ugh.
Today we're going to bring our dog Maki up to the nursing home where my Grandma stays. They welcome furry visitors and I know the residents will enjoy seeing Maki as much as Grandma will. Paige will also practice her piano while we are there. :) This is the most amazing nursing home, it doesn't smell and is a very cheerful place. I'm happy that if Grandma has to be in a home it's this one, it is really nice. It helps that my cousin and Grandma's daughter-in-law work there, the DIL is the director, and is keeping the place running wonderfully.
I was very lazy yesterday and took a long nap in the afternoon. Travis went home with my mom after church and spent the day with her, so dh and I were both able to nap. Travis and I threw the football around last night and my arm is a little sore today from throwing it (and it was just a Nerf football!)
Today we're going to a friend's house for a BBQ, should be fun. Love three day weekends! :-)
We've had a productive weekend.
