9 and 1/2 year old dealing with Mean Girl

I need some suggestions. We've talked about ignoring and telling the MG that things hurt feelings. Teacher and Principal both say MG does this every year. I've now asked that MG and DD not be in class project groups together. While I'm sure that DD's inability to let things roll off (we call it being a duck : ) contributes, I'm just at my wits end with this. Any one have some ideas to help DD ignore/let things go?

What really bothers me about this situation is how the principal and teacher are fully aware of how this girl is, but aren't really addressing it? Have they involved her parents, given her consequences for her actions?
You could always do some role playing with your daughter, go over different scenarios and work with her on ways to handle it. I'm so sorry she has to deal with a mean girl :(
