We are on break too.

Yesterday and Today, Philip had Destination ImagiNation work days from 10 till 3pm. Dh was off on Monday so he kept Lindsay with him for most of that time. They got a lot of work done on their main challenge so my co-manager and I are feeling much more relaxed. We were starting to stress because we have a group of kids who would be upset if they didn't have something to present. They've had ideas in their heads that the 7 of them seemed to know what they were doing but it wasn't coming out. We asked some open ended questions (what do you want to do? how do you think you can do that?, etc.), had them start writing a real script with dialogue and stage directions, write a song/lyrics, and they started realizing they had left things out, made assumptions that the audience would know certain things, etc. They way they are pulling this together is fantastic. It is wonderful to see ideas sprout and then watch them figure out ways to make them work. There is still work to do -- turning this into a music video for one thing. It finally dawned on them today that an important part of the challenge is the music video aspect even though we kept sending them back to the challenge and its requirements over and over. We were being to wonder if they were ever going to get that part.

Lindsay's 6th birthday is tomorrow so we are going out to breakfast before running some errands related to her party which is on Saturday. She has gymnastics in the afternoon.

Thursday is another work day for the DI team and Lindsay will be heading over to a friend's house for a few hours. Philip and one of his team members are going to be learning dance moves from a friend of mine. She was a professional dancer pre-kids.

Friday, my inlaws will be here in the early evening. They alternate who's birthday they come up for each year and this year it is Lindsay's turn. The kids might head over to a friend's house for a couple of hours during the afternoon. I think I am going to need some down time by then, lol.
