Are you talking about the current state of the economy with your children?

Not really.

He has overheard us talking about how crazy people are regarding the stock market. That it fell to a record low one day. That it has been going up and down and people are nervous about it. He has asked a few questions about what that means and we've answered them.

We were already cutting back on spending before this happened so the kids haven't noticed a difference. We put in new windows and doors this summer and that took a lot of our "disposable" income and so we have tightened the purse strings to rebuild our savings.

We haven't had to make any big changes yet. She's used to hearing "that's too expensive" or "I don't have money for that right now," so I don't think she would notice unless I really cut back to the bare bones.
