It is coming up fast! In so many ways I feel like December just started and Christmas is over and we are getting ready to celebrate NYE on Wednesday.

Do you have any plans? Going to any parties? How late do you let the kids stay up?

No major plans. My mother is planning to be in town for the day and we haven't seen her in a year, so we'll spend time with her in the afternoon/early evening, then come home to watch movies in our PJs the way we did last year.

Gillian's been allowed to stay up to midnight since she got old enough to stay awake that long. She loves New Year's because January is her birthday month, and she's extra excited about this year because she's turning the big 1-0. I can't tell you how many times I've heard "It's almost January!" in the last couple of weeks. :)

Lindsay has been that way about her birthday, which is in February. She told me the day after Christmas that we can start planning her party because December is almost over and her birthday is in February. Just in case I'd forgotten.

Your day sounds nice and relaxing. We don't do the party thing since we've had the kids. We were never that into and think we loved the excuse of not having to find a babysitter in order to stay home and get comfy and just enjoy the evening. Philip will get to stay up and Lindsay will probably try. Who knows she might just make it too.

We've been invited to a kid friendly party at one of my coworker's houses. We were there a couple weeks ago and my ds had a blast.

I donated my freezer stash of EBM to another mom through
